The dreaded “About” section…I’m sure no one likes having to write these in the weird third person narrative.

I love my job, its different everyday, well not everyday, but I also don’t mind when its not! I work predominantly across design and architectural spaces, occasionally I’m lucky enough to work with actual people too.

It goes without saying for photographers, but light is everything to me in my work. I love what it does to spaces and things, being able to control and manipulate it to create narrative, drama, form, function, shape - all the things. Those times of the day when the light throws all its magnificence at you, I still marvel like a kid at the way it changes all your perceptions in a moment.

I really do considerate it an amazing privilege when an object or a space is handed over me to to capture. Something that has been a long considered journey of creation for the designer or architect is briefly let go; portrayal and interpretation is now up to me. It becomes this wonderful collaboration and I feel a sense of ownership in seeing both the images and products out in the wild.

I work out of my studio in Brunswick in Melbourne, its called Brick though it doesn’t say that anywhere. It looks like the picture below, but imagine it with way more stored ‘things I will definitely use later’.
